Club Med Magna Marbella counts on Vicaima solutions for milestone project in Andalusia

The hotel endeavours to be a landmark in the hotel industry in the Costa del Sol.
After two decades, the Club Med brand is back in Andalusia, one of Europe’s most attractive tourist destinations, with a new premium resort, the Club Med Magna Marbella, to which Vicaima contributed towards a project "whose chief aim is to develop tourism in the most sustainable way possible", as Henri Giscard d’Estaing, the President of the brand, stated.
The resort has a 14-hectare garden, five swimming pools, around 500 rooms and various other facilities, including a spa with a large number of wellness activities and an exclusive area for families. As the highest rated all-inclusive hotel in the city, according to Tripadvisor, its design not only required a focus on comfort and tranquility given the high influx of guests, but also the required safety standards.
Based on this essential assumption, two Portaro® solutions were integrated - a set comprising a door, frame and accessories in a single piece. As fire and acoustic solutions with superior technical performance, the Portaro® EI30 AC45dB was installed at the room entrances, and the Portaro® EI30 AC41dB at the emergency exits. Both solutions are certified by accredited international organisations and guarantee full compliance with the project’s requirements. For the common areas and connecting doors, the Block solution was also selected - a set comprising door, jambs, architraves and accessories, which are ready to install.
As far as finishes are concerned, sober and optimistic colours invite you to a memorable experience at Club Med Magna Marbella. Elegant shades connect art, culture and nature, and Naturdor® Oak Quarter Cut with a black groove has a prominent role to play in the décor. With its distinctive presence, this natural veneer finish, customised to the project complements and enhances the unique identity of the various design solutions chosen, contributing to the sophisticated and welcoming ambiance of this space.
By fitting out the different spaces throughout, Vicaima directly contributes to the excellence of the materials and their performance at Club Med Magna Marbella. This contribution is in line with the high standards of a renowned international hotel group, a project enhanced by the expertise of Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet from the MHNA studio, who are responsible for the hotel’s interior design and decoration.
Environmental commitment is also a driving premise of this hotel - built from an existing building, it is equipped with solar panels designed to heat water and a rain collection and treatment system used to water the gardens, not to mention the fact that it doesn’t use any disposable single-use plastic.
This vision is perfectly aligned with the identity of Vicaima, which has set goals to drive action in a process of transition towards a more sustainable construction, providing its range of solutions with FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certification, an organisation which promotes responsible forest management.
Boasting a solid presence in reference projects, Vicaima has been strengthening its international presence as one of the largest European players in the design and production of cutting-edge solutions for interior doors, technical doors, frames, wardrobes, panels and furniture pieces.
