More sustainable products with wood and derivatives of certified or controlled origin

As "wood" is our core business, we are committed to sourcing wood products from forests of certified or controlled origin(1) managed in accordance with internationally recognised standards, namely FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) or PEFC (The Program for the Endorsement of Forest).

Vicaima Group companies promote the purchase and consumption of FSC® or PEFC certified wood, with the responsibility and objective of ensuring the replanting of trees, safeguarding biodiversity and respecting the rights of local communities in forest areas.

Vicaima Indústria obtained FSC® certification in 2006 and was one of the first companies in its sector to adhere to this certification, which promotes the use of wood from certified forests managed in accordance with internationally recognised standards. Globaldis and Vicaima Limited were also certified in 2006 and Vicaima Puertas in 2021.

Trust and responsibility in what we produce and commercialise

Our products are labelled using the approved designation FSC 100%, FSC MIX or PEFC, based on the source material included. Most of our products are available as FSC® or PEFC certified.

At Vicaima Indústria, the number of FSC® C023807 doors globally accounted for 70% of the total number of doors sold in 2023, reflecting an increase of 1.7% on the previous year.

At Vicaima Limited, for the United Kingdom market, 100% of the doors sold are FSC® certified in accordance with the regulations and legislation specific to this market, which contributes to a more sustainable development of the construction sector.
