Visionary and accomplished and with more than 60 years of know-how, Vicaima is one of the biggest European players in the design and production of interior door solutions, frames, wardrobes, panels and customised furniture pieces. Based in Portugal, the brand exports 90% of its production and operates in more than 30 markets worldwide. In addition to the company operations in Portugal, has a significant presence in both the United Kingdom and Spain. The high quality of its products and its expertise in the development of technical products, particularly fire, acoustic and security doors, is recognised internationally by professionals in the various sectors in which it operates, including hotels, housing, education, health and commerce.
Vicaima Limited has been the exclusive distributor of Vicaima products for the UK and Republic of Ireland markets since 1988. Based in Swindon, Wiltshire, it covers around 7 acres (28,000m2) and has a stock of approximately 100,000 doors for nationwide distribution. Its modern production facilities, which allow for product customisation and transformation, are complemented by a contemporary gallery-style visitor centre, responding to customer needs and enhancing their experience with the brand. Its industry proven expertise has led Vicaima Limited to become widely specified by interior designers, architects, developers and other specifiers. With an extensive range of design, performance and customised solutions, produced and supplied in accordance with the demanding requirements of local building regulations, Vicaima provide inspiration and innovation to an ever-changing market.
Vicaima has its Quality Management System certified by the ISO 9001 and UKAS standard and implement internal production control systems which guarantees that all products placed in the market meet the requirements defined by the standards in force. Integrated in this control system is the internal testing laboratory, which enables product assessment and also guarantees the conformity and reliability of the measuring devices.
All Vicaima Fire Doors in the UK are tested by Chiltern Fire to BS476 Part 22 and EN 1634-1. They are third party accredited by both the British Woodworking Federation, under the BWF-Certifire scheme and/or by BM TRADA under the Q-Mark accreditation scheme. As such all Vicaima Fire Doors can clearly be identified and recognised by looking for the BWF tamper-evident label and/or BM TRADA Fire Door plug fitted to the doors.
